John Meier is the PTRC librarian for the Pennsylvania State University in University Park, PA. He is a Science Librarian in the Physical and Mathematical Sciences branch library on the main campus of Penn State. Nan Butkovich, who attended the our seminar in 2013, is the Head of the library; Megan Folmar, who attended our seminar in 2011, is the Information Resources and Services Support Specialist; and Ann Thompson, our library supervisor, hopes to attend in the future. We have been a member library since 1979 though the collection has moved around in the Libraries twice during that time. We support the greater Central Pennsylvania areas between the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh PTRCs. Our main focus is Penn State students, staff, and faculty in teaching and learning about intellectual property information and occasionally as independent inventors. The University Libraries provides a combination of individual consultation, guest lectures in classes, and online materials. This year we revised our well used Patent Search Tutorial (http://www.libraries.psu.edu/psul/tutorials/patent.html).
