John Meier has been the PTRC librarian for University Park since 2007. He is a science librarian in the Physical and Mathematical Sciences Library which has 3 librarians and 2 full time staff. University Park is the largest of Penn State’s 23 campuses, but the University Libraries are one library system so many librarians and staff in other departments and campuses assist the PTRC. This year our university has started the Invent Penn State initiative http://invent.psu.edu/, which has created startup funds and incubator facilities across Pennsylvania. In Fall 2015 for Global Entrepreneurship Week, the library presented 8 sessions by 6 different librarians along with a Senior Patent Examiner from the USPTO. We moved our patent and trademark guides into LibGuides http://psu.libguides.com/patents and will be updating our well known patent tutorial https://www.libraries.psu.edu/psul/tutorials/patent.html as our website moves into Drupal.
