- St. Teresa’s Day (January 2025)
- 130 students and educators from St. Teresa’s Academy visit LHL in preparation for the Kansas City Invention Convention (KCIC) in April 2025.
- The event takes a “speed-dating” format: each group of twenty students rotate visits between three stations for 30-35 minutes each.
- Kim updated the PATENTS AND TRADEMARKS research guide for STA Day.
- Sophia used print materials (government documents, monographs, and serials (e.g., Inventors’ Digest, Popular Science) to for a hands-on “research” exercise. Students were divided into small groups and asked to identify five inventions, their creators, purpose, and creation date.
- Sara used Canva to create a presentation on the basics of intellectual property. LHL librarians Sophia Hahn and Sara Mawhirter
