The Central Library (Harold Washington Library Center) continues to be restructured; this has resulted in a merger of the Business, Science, and Techology Unit with the Government Publications Unit, which includes the PTRC
Due to the pandemic, we have continued to offer socially distanced PTRC assistance through virtual reference (email, chat, phone) and in-person assistance through screen mirroring
Programing has remained paused due to the pandemic and low staffing numbers
New manager of Business, Science, Technology & Government Department in late 2022
2023 goals include:
- Crosstraining of staff from the two previous units for the PTRC
- Programming for the PTRC involving staff from the two previous units
- Outreach highlighting the PTRC at Chicago’s Small Business Expos
