Our library set-up and activated a new PubWEST workstation. We began planning for our PubEAST interface launch. Our PTRC representative created a multi-media Subject Guide for patents, trademarks, and copyrights; it can be found on the BECPL website.
Our PTRC representative created a narrated power point presentation for a class of LIS students enrolled in an online government documents course. The presentation was focused on providing patent assistance, with search and indexing information included. Our PTRC representative also attended the WNY invention convention and distributed information about the BECPL’s patent and science resources. Senior staff continued to promote patent resources at Small Business Association functions.
We’re currently undertaking a new patent and trademark searching training effort for our librarian staff and preparing for the launch of PubEAST.
