Ann Arbor, MI PTRC is located in the Art, Architecture and Engineering Library (AAEL) in the Duderstadt Center at the University of Michigan. AAEL houses the Art & Design, Architecture & Urban Planning and Engineering Collections. In March 2019, we had 3 Trademarks workshops presented by Craig Morris, two were on Trademark Basics and one was Outreach Program for Graphic Designers. Leena Lalwani was also part of Center for Entrepreneurship panel at Washtenaw Community College in Fall 2018 which was attended by students and community at large. In addition, we had 3 classes where patent examiners from the Detroit satellite office come and talk to College of Engineering classes. Our Patent and Trademark Research Guide at http://guides.lib.umich.edu/patents, includes a tutorial and a easy downloadable flyer. In addition to working with the public inventors, we also provided intellectual property support to our faculty and students including special innovation offices like Tech Transfer, and Medical Innovation from the university.
