This year marks our 150th year -our sesquicentennial-as a public library in Akron, Ohio! There are many celebrations ahead!
We continue to teach: “Introduction to Intellectual Property” and “Introduction to Patents & Patent Searching” on a regular basis.
We had our first Akron Book Fest last year that brought in 1,700 people to the library. We ran a round table on “steps to take after you have written a book” which included an IP attorney talking about the importance of copyrights and trademarks for writers. That portion of the day drew 96 people!
In January we had the Akron Music Festival. For that program, we had an IP attorney come in for a Q & A session for musicians that went over well!
