The main news this year is that we have a new representative to the PTDL Program. Stephanie Barrett is taking over from Bill Schilling who has just retired at the end of March, 2011. Stephanie has been the coordinator of the library's electronic resources for the past ten years and will be a good fit as the PTDL rep.

Other news is not good. The library is facing serious financial problems. Ten staff members were laid-off on January 1, 2011. Remaining staff is being stretched quite thin. Travel to the training seminar this year has not been supported by the administration.

We did manage to offer a program this past November on the U.S. Patent and Trademark Depository Library Program at the annual conference of the New York Library Association. Audience was modest but those in attendance were very interested in the topic.
