Auburn, AL

The Auburn PTDLA has had quiet year, but there have been several changes. The most important change appears to be that more and more people at the University are either using the patent database or are calling on the Patent Librarian. In late April last year I helped an electrical contractor get started on his patent research for something he had devised that he said made him more productive. In May I helped an Auburn Faculty member (who has a patent of his own) research his grandfather's patent for a gold smelter. In June I trained my three newest colleagues on how to perform preliminary patent searches on the CASSIS workstation. These were some of the highlights of my patent searching in the past year.
