  • We are very grateful to see the new Patent Public Search get rolled out.
  • Auburn University is embracing innovation and inventors at all levels. The library is beginning an Innovation & Research Commons that combines a MakerSpace, Audio Visual Equipment, recording and video studio, and augmented reality lab that researchers on campus are utilizing.
  • The Auburn Research and Technology foundation is providing facilities to attract inventors and entrepreneurs to Auburn.
  • My favorite Auburn-originated innovation is the SHEMA97 mask, started by HelmetFitting.com CEO Dana Marquez, Associate Athletics Director for Equipment Operations at Auburn University. He partnered with a SHEMA, South Korean company to produce the SHEMA97 mask. These masks have been seen on the sidelines of football games being worn by coaches.
